The Decision is Made - Bowden Extruders for this build!
Hi everyone! I have been watching a lot of the 3d Printing Nerd on Youtube - I highly recommend his channel. He reviews a lot of tech and prints a lot of neat stuff and is, honestly, quite inspirational! It has been part of what has been getting me to start playing with my extruder setup, trying to sort out the best plan of attack. I am really convinced that two stepper motors on the carriage truly make accuracy an issue. It will help contribute to sag and inaccuracies. So I went to Amazon and bought a couple of V6 hotends to experiment with - they were only $12 each and that outlay will not kill the project if they do not work. Amazon Hot End I got them in and they are SOOOOO much lighter than the full stepper motor extruder so the decision was made! Bowden hot ends it is! Now to figure out how to attach them to the stock Rigid Box X-axis Carriage! Available HERE : So I got it in and realized I needed to figure out a method of attaching it to the carria...
