Along comes Reliabuild....
So, as we are becoming exerienced with the Sainsmart A8, we had the pleasure of going to a high school robotics competition last month.
My new friends from Reliabuild were there. They have an excellent product and really got us thinking of how we can build our own.
Now, in the interest of full disclosure, our drive to build a new printer is for the challenge, not to try to save money.
If you are going to try and reproduce the work that is going to presented in this blog series - I strongly urge you to reconsider. Here are the reasons why:
1. It will be more expensive.
2. There will inevitably be details missing (I am a metallurgist, not a mechanical Engineer.
3. Some of the items we are using are unique to my inventory and are out of production and may not be directly replaceable.
My advice to you - go to Reliabuild and buy the kit, or use my rantings and guidance to try to get your own version going.
Next post will set the design requirements....
