Summer is over.... time to PRINT!
Hi everyone.
Summer is over, and now I can get back to building the Rigidbot-like printer.
I have the frame together, and I have the drive systems installed, I am rather excited to say the least!
Here are some pictures!
Some key points..
It is pretty damn big, and as a result may frame was a bit "not too rigid". That was fixed, or will be fixed with the addition of cheap plastic sheets (1/4" blue stuff). That has certainly made it more rigid.
I am worried about power, each drive draws 4.5 amps, plus the two power supplies, may take me well over a potential 20 amp draw... I need to work the math on that and see what I am in for.
The x-axis rail system is not liking the two big stepper motors. I can feel it sag as it moves from side to side. Should I add a third rail ( HE HE!) or should I just switch to a Bowden set up now? Opinions are appreciated.
Finally, I am labeling everything from a wiring standpoint - very very important!
