Dual Extruder and other items of interest

I wanted to ramble on about some of the other requirements for our build.
Dual Extruder
This is an absolute must - we intend to use the second extruder for PVA support material, but we could also use it for epic 2 colour prints!
This will be tricky for sure - the biggest issue is going to be setup - as the nozzles have to be the exact same height, or we will have interference and unacceptable gapping (I think). Stay tuned for updates. Feedback on this is welcome!
Rigid Structure
After seeing the Rigidbot in action I KNEW it was the way to go! We are going to clone it, kinda on the fly, not too much up front drawing, but we will try to document as we go!
The A8, though very capable, is just to "Floppy" and when the prints get tall, the z wobble takes over and then it goes to hell.
High Temperature Printing
So, one of the things we noticed about our A8, is that even though , technically, it can print ABS, I have never been able to pull it off. The heated bed will not get to the required 100 deg C. We could have taken some engineering measures to fix this (insulate the bed, build a box around it, etc. But since we also have rigidity issues, it is better to handle this on the new build.
The last thing is high resolution - we will take care of that in the next post.
